Jessica Paula is a journalist from the University of Brasilia (UnB) in Brazil, and Carlos III University of Madrid, in Spain.  

She lives with a physical disability and, together with her pair of crutches, has traveled to 38 countries, totaling more than 200 thousand kilometers around the world.

She published the book “Estamos Aquí” (We are Here), about her experience alone in a conflict zone in Africa. 

She is involved in the production of travel documentaries and has already crossed on foot (with her crutches) the largest dune field in Latin America - a desert in Brazil and also became the first paraplegic woman to climb the Sugar Loaf Mountain, in Rio de Janeiro. 

She is the director of Passaporte Acessible, a company responsible for mapping accessibility in tourist destinations around the world.
