La Alianza de Turismo Accesible (ATACC), a program of the Tourism and Society Think Tank, is led by Costa Rican expert and international consultant Stephanie Sheehy.
ATACC is an initiative that promotes the transformation of tourism into a truly inclusive space, where all people, regardless of their physical, sensory or cognitive abilities, can enjoy equitable and accessible experiences.
Based on fundamental principles such as universal accessibility, inclusive design, sustainability and equity, ATACC works to ensure that tourism destinations are prepared to meet diverse needs and guarantee the full participation of all.
The Alliance promotes regional cooperation, awareness, training and the implementation of policies that position tourism as a driver of social, cultural and economic development. Through strategic alliances and innovative projects, ATACC seeks to build a fairer, more accessible and sustainable tourism sector for all.
