Afonso Carreira was born in Fátima, where he lived until he completed his basic education. He studied Tourism at the European University in Lisbon, where he had his first contact with the professional world, in the Public Relations department of TAP Portugal, followed by a period of one year in the Hotel Industry, in the VIP Hotels group.
For 10 years he has been a member of the management of Verde Pino (Tour Operator in Fatima), dealing with promotion as well as business development. Today he is CEO of the company Alphareps, which takes care of International Promotion and Representation for Tourism Products and Services. He is a great connoisseur of the tourism sector in general but especially of religious tourism.
