Danay Milagros Bulnes Mann holds a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences and serves as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Havana, with 15 years of professional experience. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Tourism in 2008 and a Master’s degree in Tourism Management in 2015. Her academic training includes numerous postgraduate courses in teaching, logistics, public administration, and educational methodologies, including a research fellowship at Heidelberg University (Germany, 2022).
She teaches core subjects of the Tourism degree program to both Cuban and Chinese students and has held various leadership roles, including Vice Dean, Program Coordinator, and Department Head. She is currently Vice Dean for Outreach, Secretary of the National Tourism Degree Commission, and National Coordinator of the Higher Technician Program in Tourist Assistance.
She has supervised over 30 undergraduate theses and several master’s theses, and has served as both member and chair of academic evaluation committees. She has delivered lectures on shopping tourism and tourism strategies in Cuba, Ecuador, and other international forums.
Her research focuses on shopping tourism, sustainable tourism development, and the introduction of new tourism modalities. She has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and actively participates in national and international academic conferences.
