Madrid hosts the official presentation of the 2026 World Tourism Film Awards, to be held in Dakhla, Morocco

Madrid will host the official presentation of the 38th edition of the World Tourism Film Awards 2026, a leading event in the field of tourism promotion through audiovisual storytelling. This year’s awards will take place in the Moroccan city of Dakhla. The presentation is scheduled for August 4 at the Hotel Emperador and will unveil the main details of an edition that marks a milestone, as it will be the first time Morocco has hosted these prestigious awards since their creation nearly four decades ago.

The event will bring together representatives from the organizing institutions, along with tourism and cultural authorities. Among the speakers will be Alexander V. Kammel, Director of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), and António Santos del Valle, President of the Tourism & Society Think Tank. They will present the highlights of this year’s edition, which aims to strengthen the role of audiovisual productions as a powerful tool for promoting destinations and creating new opportunities for economic and cultural development.
