ACISO announces the next edition of the International Workshops on Religious Tourism

The 14th International Workshops on Religious Tourism (IWRT) have been scheduled: they will take place on March 9 and 10, 2027, at the Paul VI Pastoral Center, in Fátima / Portugal.

Organized by the Ourém-Fátima Business Association (ACISO), in a partnership with the Ourém City Council, the IWRT will once again bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, and researchers in religious tourism from dozens of countries, with the aim of strengthening Portugal’s position as a leading destination in this tourism segment.

The 2027 edition will take place following the Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market (BTL), which will be held from March 3 to 7, 2027, at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL).

The event’s overall format will remain unchanged to preserve the identity that has distinguished the IWRT over the years, featuring the opening conference, the presentation of a guest destination, business meetings between international buyers and suppliers, networking opportunities, institutional presentations, and other initiatives that promote religious tourism and enhance opportunities for international expansion.

The dates for the next edition—March 9 and 10, 2027—began to be announced through the IWRT’s official social media channels and to the international network of buyers, suppliers, exhibitors, and other event partners, allowing all interested parties to begin planning their participation in a timely manner.

The opening of registration will be announced as soon as possible, including through the official channels of the IWRT and ACISO, along with all information regarding the program and conditions of participation.
