Since its publication on September 27, there have been 10,001 downloads.
Since its publication on September 27, 2025, the book “Situation and Outlook of Tourism in Latin America – 2025” has been downloaded 10,000 times as of October 9, according to records from the Tourism and Society Think Tank (TSTT). This figure reveals the great interest that the publication has generated in just a few days since its launch.
The book was symbolically presented on that same September 27, during a virtual event held simultaneously in several Latin American countries and linked to the celebration of World Tourism Day. On that date, the TSTT introduced a work with a regional vocation and international scope, aimed at providing a detailed analysis of the challenges and opportunities of Latin American tourism in 2025.
Edited under the direction of the TSTT President, Antonio Santos del Valle, and coordinated by Ninoska Gutiérrez, the publication brings together the contributions of nearly thirty specialists from various Ibero-American countries. Among the contributors are Adriana Lorena Caicedo D., Jeniffer Patricia Loaiza Arrieta, Leidy Joanna García Forero, and Leonor Maldonado Pinzón, who share their expertise in tourism, innovation, sustainable development, and community engagement.
The publication examines tourism’s role as an economic, social, and cultural driver in Latin America, emphasizing its ability to generate employment, preserve heritage, and strengthen territorial cohesion. It also provides a critical assessment of the impact of the COVID-19 crisis between 2020 and 2025, highlighting how the sector has accelerated processes such as digitalization, market diversification, and the strengthening of domestic tourism amid uncertainty.
