This year, the event stands out for its strong social focus. Women, young people, and Afro and Indigenous communities present projects and enterprises that show how cacao strengthens inclusion, income generation, and peacebuilding in the territories. In the different venues, life stories, community leadership initiatives, and business models that are born in rural areas and find in chocolate a vehicle to reach new markets in Colombia and abroad are being shared.
Chocoshow 2025 also serves as a strategic platform for strengthening the cacao value chain. The National Business Roundtable brings together associations, cooperatives, and small businesses from different regions of the country, who have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with buyers, processing companies, and actors from the specialty trade. In pre-scheduled meetings, participants present their offering of cacao beans, semi-finished products, and chocolates with territorial identity, fostering business agreements that promote fairer and more sustainable trade.
The fair also features an active academic agenda with conferences, workshops, and panel discussions on innovation, cacao tourism, environmental sustainability, sensory quality, financing, and the use of technology to improve productivity. National and international experts, researchers, and sector leaders share knowledge and success stories aimed at inspiring attendees and reinforcing the vision of a modern, competitive cacao culture aligned with global trends in responsible consumption.
At Chocoshow 2025, Fedecacao is presenting the progress of strategic programs such as the National Cacao Nutrition Plan, which this year benefits 10,000 farming families and a similar number of hectares through sustainable fertilization measures and technical assistance. These efforts help improve productivity and grain quality in 20 departments of the country and are aligned with the central message of the event: the power of Colombian cacao lies in its people, its science, and its commitment to the future.
“Chocoshow is the showcase where Colombia and the world can learn about the efforts of cacao growers and of those who transform cacao into chocolates and derivatives that compete in the most demanding markets,” say Fedecacao spokespersons, who highlight the support of strategic partners such as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Mercy Corps, and its fair partner Corferias, organizations that continue to back cacao as a driver of sustainable rural development.
Today, visitors walk through a sensory space that covers the entire cacao chain: from the presentation of varieties and agroforestry systems that protect ecosystems to areas where they can experience roasting, winnowing, and grinding the beans to understand how a high-quality chocolate bar is obtained. Chocolate shops, regional enterprises, and youth innovation projects offer products that reflect the richness of national cacao.
On this 30 November, as Chocoshow 2025 reaches its final day, Colombia reaffirms its commitment to positioning cacao as a symbol of identity, sustainability, and national pride. Fedecacao invites visitors to enjoy the last hours of the event at Corferias and to continue celebrating the power of Colombian cacao to transform lives, territories, and development opportunities.
