Calasparra (founding member of the WRTN) strengthens its value for religious tourism through the historic participation of its Virgin of Hope in the Jubilee Magna Procession of Murcia

The patron saint of Calasparra, the Virgin of Hope, departed from the Cathedral of Murcia accompanied by numerous faithful and devotees who gathered around the image, which arrived at the Cathedral at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, 15 November, marking a particularly significant day for the region’s religious community.
At 1:00 p.m., the Solemn Jubilee Mass was celebrated, presided over by the Bishop of Cartagena, José Manuel Lorca Planes, a ceremony that brought together worshippers and institutional representatives in an atmosphere of joy and deep emotion.
During the afternoon, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., attendees were able to visit the Virgin of Hope and the other floats participating in the procession.
Within the framework of this historic day, the Mayor of Calasparra, Teresa García, received a commemorative plaque from the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, in recognition of the patron’s stay in the regional capital and her involvement in this unprecedented event. The presentation took place at 4:30 p.m., during a brief official reception offered to the mayors of the participating municipalities.
