Luxury Tourism Booms in Latin America
07-06-25
Luxury tourism in Latin America is experiencing remarkable growth, driven by improved air connectivity and a rising demand for exclusive experiences. According to data presented by Olivier Ponti, Vice President of Insights at ForwardKeys, during the MarketHub Americas 2025 event, the region has seen a significant increase in the arrival of high-net-worth travelers.
Between January and March 2025, Panama stood out as one of the most attractive destinations for luxury tourism, registering a 79% increase in Premium class arrivals compared to the same period in the previous year. This surge is partly attributed to enhanced air connectivity and a tailored offering of exclusive services designed to meet the expectations of the most discerning travelers.
Mexico continues to hold a leading position in the luxury market, capturing 36.6% of total Premium class arrivals, followed by Brazil with 16.9%. These countries have successfully tapped into the growing trend toward luxury travel by offering destinations and experiences that combine exclusivity, cultural richness, and comfort.
