Molina states that the collaboration with the Tourism and Society Think Tank over the past three years has allowed the SIT RC system to be tested in countries such as Peru, Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and two weeks ago in Mexico — real-world environments.
As a result of these real-environment tests, the consortium Tourism Visioneer TSTT proposes an ambitious program “RegenERA-TUR 2030” that includes three lines of action:
Promotion of the Global Network of Smart, Regenerative and Solidarity Routes
Acronym: RED RUTAS REGENERA INTELIGENTE
Objective: To turn routes, paths, itineraries, and networks into (1) instruments that accelerate the transition to a sustainable, regenerative and circular tourism model, and (2) smart territorial spaces digitally connected that share data and co-create positive impact experiences in the territories.
Activities to be developed:
a) Incorporate thematic itineraries that support the conscious transformation of tourists into solidarity travelers
b) Adhere to connected multi-destinations, as drivers for access to shared data, with a demonstrative effect in boosting cultural rights, territorial interconnection, education, creativity, and artistic production
c) Create territorial laboratories for the preservation, transmission and updating of intangible heritage, knowledge and practices that promote participation of residents and tourists, intergenerational exchange
d) Co-creation of positive impact experiences in a more sustainable, diverse, inclusive, and multicultural rural environment.
Success case: Bioseda Morera C02 Factory:
i. With the planting of mulberries and the breeding of silkworms, municipalities enhance territorial diversity (landscape, environment, biodiversity, endogenous resources...)
ii. With silk weaving and biomaterials, heritage (knowledge, traditions, languages...) of the rural environment is highlighted, attracting children and youth with a contemporary narrative blending generations, collaborating with local trade and other productive activities such as agri-food, music, etc.
iii. Women in rural areas and silk require recognition, hence the initiative: Women and Silk
iv. “Weaving Identities” becomes the agenda that integrates people with disabilities or functional diversity, promoting access to culture and connecting our silk history with other regions or even countries.
Connect through the Global Network of Regenerative Observatories of Local Impact ResiTur
Acronym: RED OBSERVATORIOS REGENERA RESITUR
Objective: To connect territorial observatories committed to the regeneration of tourism/cultural activity.
Activities to be developed:
a) Sharing of indicators, indexes and data, including information from residents and tourists
b) Harmonize metrics to compare economic, social, and environmental impact
c) Define the scope of the observatory and strategic alignment with the local context
d) Units of Tourism Intelligence / Use Cases from Segittur. Expert discussion on each theme to validate results
e) Benchmarking of successful participatory governance cases and integration of information into public policies in each country or interconnected territories
f) Collaboration in the transfer and visualization of results with dynamic reports
Establish a Global Intercampus Regenera Network: Universities, Science Parks and Innovation Hubs
Acronym: RED INTERCAMPUS REGENERA
Objective: To establish a campus network where researchers, students and scientific entrepreneurs promote knowledge exchange and its transformation into regenerative solutions.
a) Signing of inter-university agreements committed to Regenerative Tourism
b) AI incubators, data sharing spaces, platforms, innovation hubs, digital twins and sandboxes
c) Dissemination of results through seminars, conferences, congresses
d) Geographic mobility of students and faculty
e) Promote agreements with other public and private scientific parks and innovation hubs internationally
f) Last Mile projects and AVI’s innotransfer challenges in the scientific parks of the Valencian Community
To respond to this global challenge of Regenerative Tourism, the Tourism Visioneer-TSTT Consortium has created the “RegeneraTur” Technical Office led by the company Inteligencia Turística, which includes a Travel Tech marketplace for the public and private sectors, and incorporates the Scientific Diplomacy department to establish international agreements in different embassies that support the operation of these three global networks.
At this edition of Digital Tourist 2025, the company Inteligencia Turística presented its new management team with two appointments that consolidate its international expansion in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico: Natalia Andreu as the new general director of the company, and engineer and researcher Natalia Castro, who takes over the network of local impact observatories and the management of the technical office “RegeneraTur” within the consortium.
During the interview, Natalia Andreu emphasized the importance of the Tur-IA platform, which integrates the best AI technology solutions such as Microsoft, Ciclops, i-urban, IoTSens, etc., and highlighted the significance for the company of participating in the latest open innovation conferences organized by the Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV).
