The project brings together the expertise of RJ Heisenbottle Architects, specialists in historic restoration, and interior designer Cliff Fong — who led the design for PS at LAX — to strike a balance between architectural heritage and modern luxury. PS MIA will feature five private suites with balconies and spa-style bathrooms, two social lounges offering gourmet cuisine and artisanal cocktails, a day spa with beauty treatments and massages, and a central outdoor courtyard providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the airport.
PS offers a radically different experience from traditional airport travel. Passengers bypass the main terminal entirely, entering private facilities where TSA security and immigration checks are conducted, followed by a BMW transfer across the tarmac directly to the steps of their commercial flight. The service aims to replicate the comfort and privacy of flying on a private jet, while still traveling on a commercial airline.
PS’s expansion to MIA marks a dynamic new chapter for the brand, which already operates similar facilities in Los Angeles and Atlanta, with plans underway for Dallas-Fort Worth. Miami is a natural choice for this model, being the busiest U.S. airport for international flights to Latin America and the Caribbean, and a growing hub for travelers seeking exclusive experiences.
Although premium, the service offers scalable pricing options: access to The Salon starts at around $995 per person without a membership, and suite prices can reach up to $4,950 for up to four passengers. With annual memberships that reduce certain fees, PS targets both frequent flyers and those looking for a unique, exceptional experience on special occasions.
Beyond enhancing the travel experience, PS MIA is part of MIA’s broader modernization and expansion plan, which involves a $9 billion investment in airport infrastructure. The project aims to reimagine the airport’s function within the local economy, generating additional revenue through memberships, premium services, and urban revitalization.
This new terminal doesn’t just redefine passenger comfort — it also embraces community and heritage. The restoration of the historic building, its visual connection to Miami’s cultural identity, and collaboration with local authorities all reflect an approach that fuses urban innovation with historical legacy. PS MIA is positioned as a symbol of sustainable development where luxury tourism and respect for heritage converge.
Ultimately, PS MIA aims to be more than just a terminal: it will be a sanctuary of calm, a personalized luxury space, and an architectural tribute. With its anticipated opening in spring 2026, Miami is preparing to elevate the flying experience to unprecedented levels — where every step, from arrival to boarding, becomes a journey designed for travelers who prioritize efficiency, privacy, and sophistication.
