Concorde returns to the skies: The supersonic dream revives in 2026

After two decades out of service, the legendary Concorde is set to soar the skies once again in 2026, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of its first commercial flight. This relaunch, led by Fly-Concorde Limited, marks a milestone in aviation history, following the U.S. government’s decision to lift the ban on supersonic flights over land—a result of the historic “Concorde Bill” signed by President Trump on June 6.
The new generation Concorde will retain its iconic delta-wing silhouette but will be 50% lighter thanks to state-of-the-art composite materials. Its minimalist interior, inspired by Japanese design, offers both luxury and functionality, with cabins created by sustainable architecture firms. Moreover, the aircraft will operate on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), reducing emissions by an impressive 80%.
Flying at an altitude of 60,000 feet—well above conventional jets—the new Concorde will be faster, more efficient, and quieter than its predecessor, thanks to breakthrough technology that suppresses sonic booms. The patent, recently secured by Fly-Concorde CEO Dr. Pano Kroko Churchill, promises to minimize acoustic impact over populated areas.
