Turkish Airlines has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the airline that flies to the most countries in the world. This achievement was consolidated with the inauguration of its new route to Santiago de Chile, expanding its network to 131 countries.
The Guinness World Records certificate was presented at a ceremony at Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, following Turkish Airlines' inaugural flight to Chile. This new destination not only expands the airline's presence in Latin America, but also reinforces its commitment to connecting people, cultures and destinations globally.
Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, said, “We are delighted to be in Santiago, Chile, our new route launched today, and to receive the Guinness World Records title for the most countries flown by an airline. As the only airline to have held this distinction for more than a decade, we proudly showcase the strength of our network and reinforce our mission to connect people, cultures and destinations around the world.
