The Guinness World Records certificate was presented at a ceremony at Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, following Turkish Airlines' inaugural flight to Chile. This new destination not only expands the airline's presence in Latin America, but also reinforces its commitment to connecting people, cultures and destinations globally.
Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, said, “We are delighted to be in Santiago, Chile, our new route launched today, and to receive the Guinness World Records title for the most countries flown by an airline. As the only airline to have held this distinction for more than a decade, we proudly showcase the strength of our network and reinforce our mission to connect people, cultures and destinations around the world.
Talal Omar, Guinness World Records Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, said, “Today we celebrate an outstanding milestone for Turkish Airlines, whose unwavering commitment to connecting the world exemplifies vision and excellence in aviation.
