The World Religious and Spiritual Tourism Destinations Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Edit Székely as its new Territory Director for Europe. With an outstanding international background and a strong background in communications, economics and engineering, Székely joins to lead the Network's growth and consolidation efforts in Europe.
With more than 30 years of professional experience, Edit Székely has worked tirelessly to build bridges between cultures and markets in different regions of the world. An entrepreneur, diplomat and cultural promoter, her career includes significant milestones in countries such as Hungary, Peru, Italy, Romania and Spain, standing out for her ability to integrate tourism as a strategic axis of economic and cultural development.
Székely has significant diplomatic experience, having served as attaché for economic and commercial affairs, vice consul and director of the Hungarian program at Expo Milano 2015. During her career, she has led major international projects, such as the European Capital of Culture Pécs 2010 and the Hungarian Presidency of the European Union in 2011, organizing cultural events that have left their mark on the international scene.
