The Tourism and Society Think Tank presents its initiatives at the Vitrina Turística ANATO 2025

The Tourism and Society Think Tank (TSTT), chaired by Mr. Antonio Santos del Valle, will actively participate in the Vitrina Turística ANATO 2025, where it will hold a series of key meetings and activities for the development of the tourism sector.

During the event, Antonio Santos del Valle will hold meetings with government authorities, representatives of mayors and governors, reinforcing his commitment to the promotion of sustainable, inclusive and diversified tourism. Among the initiatives promoted by the TSTT are the World Religious Tourism Network, the World Cocoa and Derivatives Tourist Destinations Network and the Alianza de Turismo Accesible, each of them with a specific agenda within the event.

World Religious Tourism Network: key meetings and press conference

Under the leadership of Pilar Valdés, the World Religious Tourism Network will hold meetings at ANATO from 26 March. A press conference will also be held on 27 February 2025 at 9:30 AM at the stand ‘Santa Marta V Centenario’ (Pavilion 4, Stand 311), to present the I Itinerant Congress Jubilee Year Tourism 2025 - ‘Colombia: Tourism and Development. Prominent personalities will participate in this event, including the Vice Minister of Tourism, Pedro Manrique, the Director General of the World Religious Tourism Network, Pilar Valdés, the President of the TSTT, Antonio Santos, as well as representatives of ecclesiastical authorities, business leaders and sponsors. It will also count on the presence and support of Father Diego Jaramillo, renowned theologian, writer and president of the Minuto de Dios Organisation Corporation since 1992.

Alianza de Turismo Accesible commitment to inclusive tourism

The Alianza de Turismo Accesible, led by its Director General, Stephanie Sheehy, will have a prominent participation in ANATO 2025, reaffirming its commitment to the promotion of inclusive and equitable tourism. Accessibility in tourism is not only a fundamental right, but also an opportunity to expand the market and improve the travel experience for millions of people.

Accessible tourism benefits people with disabilities, older adults, families with young children and any traveller who may face barriers in their tourism experience. In this context, the Alliance works in collaboration with tour operators, government entities and private companies to promote inclusion and the implementation of good practices in the tourism offer.
