In addition, the Second National Cocoa Degruyada Championship will be held, a competition that exalts Colombian cocoa culture by highlighting the traditional technique of manually extracting cocoa beans. Visitors will also be able to participate in workshops, cocoa tastings and tour the Cocoa Route, which shows the complete process of transforming the bean into chocolate.
With children in mind, Chocoshow will feature Chocokids, an educational space with six interactive stations where children will learn in a playful way the history and process of cocoa, from its cultivation to its transformation into chocolate. For adults, cocoa tastings will be an opportunity to explore the flavors and textures of cocoa from different regions of Colombia, guided by experts from FEDECACAO.
The fair will also offer an academic agenda with conferences and lectures on topics relevant to cocoa growers and actors in the cocoa chain. In addition, the film “Itzia, Tango y Cacao”, directed by Flora Martínez, which tells a motivational story about cocoa, will be shown. Attendees will be able to enjoy exhibits in the Photographic Gallery and the Cocoa Sanctuary, spaces that merge history and culture through stunning photographs and representative elements of cocoa farms in various regions of the country.
ChocoShow is not only a showcase for cocoa products, but also represents an opportunity to generate business and promote the consumption of this essential product in the Colombian economy. With the participation of more than 150 exhibitors and an expected 18,000 visitors, the fair seeks to surpass the records of previous years and consolidate itself as the most important event of the cocoa sector in the country.
Tickets for Chocoshow 2024 will be available at Corferias ticket offices during the days of the event and online through the event's official website. The organizers have arranged schedules from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. so that attendees can enjoy all the scheduled activities.
