06-05-24

From Wednesday, May 8 to Saturday, May 11, the picturesque Villa Cura Brochero will be the venue for the 17th Argentine Meeting of Religious Tourism and the 4th International Conference on Sanctuaries and Religious Tourism. The event will be held at the emblematic San José Gabriel del Rosario Chapel, Predio La Providencia.

This year, the Argentine Meeting of Religious Tourism acquires a special character by adding the International Conference on Sanctuaries and Religious Tourism, thus bringing together experts and enthusiasts of this globally significant field. This meeting, which has become a reference both nationally and internationally, aims to promote destinations with religious heritage, disseminate various thematic attractions, stimulate historical-religious circuits and preserve and strengthen cultural and historical heritage. It also seeks to promote innovative projects and develop new tourism products that meet the demands of an increasingly demanding and diversified market.

A highlight of this edition is the collaboration with the Global Network of Religious and Spiritual Tourism Destinations, directed by Pilar Valdés, a program of the Tourism and Society Think Tank. This collaboration reflects the event's commitment to promoting religious tourism worldwide and strengthens its reach and influence in the international community.

The Argentine Meeting of Religious Tourism and International Shrines and Religious Tourism will bring together distinguished lecturers, political and ecclesiastical authorities, businessmen, representatives, referents, delegations, visitors and followers of religious tourism from all over Argentina, as well as from American and European countries. All of them will share experiences and knowledge in different historical, cultural and religious spaces of the locality, thus enriching the dialogue and collaboration between different actors of the sector.

Villa Cura Brochero is preparing to host this historic and unique event in Argentina, which will position it as a center of religious tourism of national and international relevance. Thousands of people are expected to participate, both in person and virtually, thanks to the simultaneous live transmission of the activities.
