Peru's Export and Tourism Promotion Commission (PROMPERÚ) and LATAM Airlines have signed a strategic alliance aimed at promoting tourism in Peru from key markets such as Spain, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the United States and Mexico. These countries accounted for 61% of international arrivals to Peru in 2023.

As part of this alliance, which will be in force until June of this year, various digital advertising actions have been carried out in the selected markets. In Spain, during the month of June, an intense promotion of iconic Peruvian destinations such as Lima, Cusco and Arequipa will be carried out.

The main objective of this collaboration is to generate competitive advantages through the promotion and marketing of Peru as a tourist destination. This will be achieved through a diversified offer of airline tickets, improving international air connectivity to Peru and strengthening its image and global positioning.

LATAM Airlines has a solid connectivity network to Peru from the international markets included in the alliance. In particular, in the Spanish market, LATAM Airlines is the third most frequent carrier on the route between Madrid and Lima. The airline offers multiple options for travelers interested in exploring Peru, facilitating access from various parts of the world.

Notably, LATAM Airlines accounts for 52% of the available seat capacity for international passengers to Peru, consolidating its position as the airline with the largest market share in the South American country.

The markets included in this campaign are key for tourism in Peru. In 2023, the country received a total of 2,524,658 international tourists, with more than 100,000 visitors coming from Spain, representing 4% of foreign tourist arrivals.

This strategic alliance between PROMPERÚ and LATAM Airlines seeks not only to increase the flow of tourists to Peru, but also to improve the travel experience and accessibility, contributing to the sustained growth of the Peruvian tourism sector.
