Madrid Inside Art & Design (MIAD)'2024 kicked off

The world's most prominent tourism event will open its doors this Tuesday, March 5, offering an exceptional platform until March 7 at the Berlin fairgrounds. This year, the event has achieved outstanding occupancy, with bookings covering more than 150,000 square meters, representing over 90% of the available exhibition space. With a remarkable 87% international participation, ITB Berlin has set a new record, consolidating its position as a truly global event.

ITB's Buyers' Circle of 1,300 senior buyers highlights the global relevance of this gathering, reflecting the dynamism and innovation in sectors such as mobility, travel technology, cruises and the notable presence of Oman, the host country, along with other Arab states. The diversity of the event is seen in its more than 5,500 exhibitors from 170 countries and territories.

The ITB Berlin Convention, the industry's premier forum for discussion, will analyze global trends and highlight best practices with the participation of industry leaders such as Booking.com, TUI, Phocuswright and Google, with the aim of shaping the future of tourism.


Oman, the host country, will star in the opening event, offering the approximately 3,000 guests, including leading political and tourism industry figures, an immersion into its rich culture and beauty. Political figures such as Kai Wegner, Mayor of Berlin, and Dieter Janecek, Coordinator for Maritime Economy and Tourism of the Federal Government, along with industry leaders such as Julia Simpson of WTTC and Zurab Pololikashvili of UNWTO, will welcome the participants. In addition, the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra will give a concert at the Berlin Philharmonie on March 6, conducted by Hamdan Al Shuaili.

Under the motto "Pioneering the transition in travel and tourism. Together," the ITB Berlin Convention will feature 17 thematic sessions and four live stages, where 200 experts will discuss the future of tourism, covering topics such as technology, marketing, sustainability, and more. With approximately 400 speakers from leading entities, enriching discussions and valuable insights are promised for all attendees.
