The online travel agency Felices Vacaciones has published the results of a study on women travelers for the celebration of International Women's Day on March 8, with the result that more and more women are traveling and also more and more women are traveling alone. This is revealed by a study conducted by the online travel agency (OTA) Felices Vacaciones. The company has detected a growth in requests for exclusive travel for women.

Already in 2019, the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV) conducted a study that revealed that 65% of solo travelers are women. From then until the close of 2023, the agency has seen a 30% increase in the number of women traveling alone or in groups.

From Felices Vacaciones they explain that this type of trip is designed from start to finish oriented only for women, enhancing a safe space, respect, and empowerment. "These trips enrich you as a woman and as a person, once you try them you only think about what the next one will be," says María Vicenta, a client of the agency.

The study reveals a series of fundamental aspects that these women consider when planning their trips, which agencies should take into account to meet their needs and preferences:

Likewise, among the most sought-after destinations are trips to Spain. However, there are also female travelers who choose to travel abroad, mainly looking for adventures and exotic destinations such as Japan, Thailand or Vietnam.  This is followed by a preference for European destinations such as Italy or Germany, which offer a unique combination of history, art and picturesque landscapes. Destinations such as Punta Cana or Riviera Maya are also extremely popular for women looking for more comfort.
