Travel agency associations in Germany have welcomed with enthusiasm the news of the definitive cancellation of all trips booked with FTI Touristik. This decision has brought great relief to both the German travel market and the affected customers.

DRV, ASR and VIR, three of the main industry associations, have expressed their satisfaction, stressing the importance of this measure in clarifying the future for thousands of travelers. In particular, the German Travel Association (DRV) has stressed that this resolution not only reassures consumers, but also facilitates the work of travel agencies, which can now help their customers to find alternatives following FTI's insolvency.

FTI Touristik, facing serious financial problems, has decided to cancel all of its 175,000 outstanding tours. This action puts an end to the uncertainty and allows consumers to look for new travel options. ASR and the Internet Travel Sales Association (VIR) have highlighted that this clarity is beneficial to the market, allowing travelers to terminate booking contracts and plan new vacations.

In parallel, VIR has issued a warning about possible scams related to the situation. The association has warned of fraud attempts seeking to obtain customers' bank details under the guise of compensation. VIR emphasizes that the only legitimate emails will come from specific domains (@drsf.reise) and the official DRSF website (www.drsf.reise). Consumers are urged to carefully verify the authenticity of any communication received.
