The Distintivos Turísticos awarded by the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV) are one of the highest recognitions in the Spanish tourism sector. These awards, which are presented annually, celebrate the exceptional contributions of individuals and organizations that have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to the development and promotion of tourism.

The 'Matilde Torres' Distinction and the 'Vicente Blasco' Distinction honor individuals and entities that have had a significant impact on the industry, highlighting both their professional careers and their dedication to sector information and associationism.

VIII 'Vicente Blasco' Award

The VIII 'Vicente Blasco' Distinction has been awarded to NEXOTUR as a tribute to its 35 years of informative work in the tourism sector. Founded in 1988 by Eugenio de Quesada and Carlos Ortiz, NEXOTUR has evolved from being a professional directory for travel agents to become an essential digital reference in the field of tourism.

Eugenio de Quesada and Carlos Ortiz

With 25 years as a digital platform, NEXOTUR.com celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2025, having published more than 8,000 daily editions with 200,000 news items and half a million images. This impressive track record is evidence of NEXOTUR's commitment to the information and development of the sector.

NEXOTUR is a media specialized in the tourism sector. It focuses on providing news, analysis, and reports on various aspects of tourism, including market trends, news on tourism companies, regulations, events and fairs in the sector, and other relevant topics for tourism professionals and stakeholders. This media is a reference to keep informed about the evolution of the sector and to obtain relevant information for decision making in the tourism field.

NEXOTUR, under the direction of Eugenio de Quesada, has not only excelled in its informative capacity, but also in the organization of key events such as Futuralia, an important platform that addresses the future of sustainable tourism. These events, together with his daily journalistic work, have consolidated NEXOTUR as a fundamental pillar in the Spanish tourism industry. CEAV's recognition with the 'Vicente Blasco' Distinction is a well-deserved tribute to his dedication and contribution to the sector.

One of NEXOTUR's most notable achievements is the creation and organization of CIMET (Ibero-American Conference of Tourism Ministers and Entrepreneurs). This highly relevant annual event brings together Ibero-American tourism ministers and leading entrepreneurs from the sector to discuss and promote cooperation and tourism development in the region. CIMET has been crucial in strengthening relations and fostering the growth of tourism between Spain and Ibero-American countries, consolidating itself as an essential forum for the industry.
