TSTT and its new International Network of Smart Tourism Routes collaborates at FITUR 2024, with the Phygital Tourism Intelligence Shop

19-01-24

Tourism and Society Think Tank (TSTT) is developing proposals for Future Governance that incorporate innovation in public policies, the improvement of digital maturity indexes in tourism destinations and companies in the sector, with the challenge of transforming the current tourism model, to a regenerative, neutral and circular tourism that positively impacts the development of local communities.

The TSTT promotes the exchange of experiences, methodologies and success stories from the public, private, academic and social perspectives. But it has been the presentation of the Regenerative and Circular Tourism Intelligence System (SIT-RC) presented at the Lima Forum (Peru) last November 2023, which has driven the launching of the International Network of Intelligent Tourism Routes (RTI), a clear example of how "multi-destination tourism intelligence" becomes the lever of change that allows leading the connection between different territories, united by common themes, itineraries and contents (wine tourism routes, coffee, cocoa, biosilk, Inca culture, health, orchids, the condor, the Grail, etc.).

This International Network of Intelligent Tourism Routes offers and shares with its member countries, the latest advances in innovation, technology, sustainability and tourism intelligence, proposing academic and promotional activities.

The strategic collaboration agreement signed by the TSTT with the Valencian startup "The Phygital Tourist Intelligence Shop" will allow:

This FITUR 2024 event will be the framework chosen for the company Inteligencia Turística, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, to present its innovative TUR-IA platform. A key AI tool that allows it to adapt its marketplace solutions to the different regulatory frameworks of each country. These Tourist Intelligence solutions are already enjoyed by more than 22 million tourists in Benidorm, the Canary Islands and Costa del Sol.

Celia Romero, Co-funder of the company, and Natalia Andreu, Director of Operations highlight the importance of being able to share this new "TUR-IA platform" with the attendees who visit the Inteligencia Turistica stand.

This strategic collaboration, "represents a significant step in our mission to empower the creation of an International Network of Smart Tourism Routes, as together we will explore new frontiers and address the digital challenges facing the industry, working towards a more sustainable, regenerative and inclusive future." As stated by Antonio Santos del Valle, president of the Tourism & Society Think Tank.

Both organizations are committed to transforming the current Tourism model to a regenerative, neutral and circular tourism. Where Smart Tourism Routes provide experiences of high heritage value, increasingly responsible with the development of solutions that benefit both digital tourists and the local communities they visit. The alliance is emerging as a catalyst for the positive transformation of tourism.

Also, please find attached the invitation to join the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Inteligencia Turística. This significant event will take place on Wednesday, January 24, at 5:00 p.m., in the Consultancy Area of Fitur Know & Export, located in Pavilion 10, next to Segittur Lab.
