The Dominican Republic has taken a significant step in strengthening and ensuring quality and safety in the field of medical tourism through the creation of the "Quality Seal for Medical Tourism". This initiative is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance, the Dominican Association of Medical Tourism (ADTM) and the Dominican Institute for Quality (Indocal), marking an important milestone in the promotion of safe and high quality practices for patients who choose the Dominican Republic as a destination for their medical needs.

This seal represents a commitment to excellence, designed to increase the confidence and reliability of Dominican healthcare services in the eyes of the international community. Following internationally validated protocols and standards, the seal guarantees that the services offered meet the highest quality and safety requirements, putting the country at the forefront of medical tourism in the region.

Victor Atallah, the Minister of Public Health, highlighted the importance of this seal as a key strategy to reaffirm the Dominican Republic's leadership in the medical tourism sector, both in the Caribbean and Latin America. The implementation of this seal is in line with the objectives of President Luis Abinader, focused on consolidating the country as a first-rate reference in medical tourism at regional and world level.

The adoption of the "Quality Seal for Medical Tourism" not only reflects the country's commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in healthcare, but also presents itself as a key tool to attract a greater number of international patients, providing them with the security and confidence necessary to choose the Dominican Republic as their preferred destination for medical treatment. With this initiative, the Dominican Republic is strategically positioned to continue to lead in the field of medical tourism, offering safe, quality and internationally recognized health services.
