In a comprehensive analysis of global travel trends, Tropicfeel has presented a groundbreaking study based on responses from travelers in more than 70 countries. The report reveals a remarkable evolution in traveler preferences, underscoring a shift toward adventure destinations, cultural experiences and more strategic planning.

The study, which included participants from countries such as Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy, shows that coastal and mountain destinations are favorites among travelers. More than 80% consider it essential to visit world-renowned sites, while 67% favor adventure activities and approximately 52% opt for relaxation and wellness plans. The data suggests that travelers prefer to avoid desert or polar destinations that require more preparation.

In terms of duration, nearly 70% of respondents choose vacations of between one and two weeks, with 90% opting for air travel as the main mode of transport. Car and train are also popular options, chosen by 45% and 41% of participants, respectively.

The influence of personal recommendations remains predominant. Some 73% of travelers rely on the experience of friends and family to plan their itineraries, while 57% rely on social networks. Blogs, online searches and digital maps also play a complementary role in planning.

The study reveals that the average spend for a two-week adventure is between €1,000 and €2,000 for more than half of travelers, with 40% willing to invest between €500 and €1,000. This trend reflects a growing interest in exciting experiences over luxury.

The data indicates a shift towards more efficient and lighter luggage. Approximately 87% of travelers prefer to travel with carry-on luggage, opting for versatile and compact items that facilitate mobility. Tropicfeel has identified that its Shell and Shelter backpacks, as well as accessories such as the packing cube, are highly valued for their functionality and convenience.

The Tropicfeel study highlights a clear evolution towards a more dynamic and adaptable tourism, with a preference for simplicity and functionality. New trends in luggage and travel apparel reflect a desire by travelers to maximize their experience without fuss, embracing minimalism and innovation.

This research provides valuable insight into how travel experiences are changing, leading the way to more conscious and adventure-oriented tourism.
