Dubai City achieved record tourism figures this year, with 8.55 million international visitors from January to June 2023, and celebrates that its variety of offerings has made it an affordable luxury destination.

Issam Kazim, director general of the Dubai Commerce and Tourism Marketing Corporation (DctemCTCM), said the city's multi-faceted appeal attracts travellers of all tastes and economic levels. Its diverse offering significantly enhances Dubai's appeal as a year-round tourist destination, including the summer months, says Kazim.

"Dubai's wide-ranging offerings make even luxury travel affordable, with plenty of options for budget travellers, from discounted stays in luxury hotels to high-end dining experiences," he explains.

"In fact, Dubai offers mid-range hotels that match the service and amenities of many leading premium serviced hotels, further increasing the destination's appeal for those looking for value for money during their stay, without compromising on the quality of the experience," he adds.

The first half of 2023 was the best in the sector's history. "People are attracted to Dubai because of a combination of its unique and cosmopolitan lifestyle, its high level of security, the ease of access to the city, doing business and daily life in Dubai, and the city's commitment to safety, both in terms of personal security and financial stability," says Kazim.
