The number of people affected has risen: 2,012 dead and more than 2,059 injured, 721 in serious condition.

Morocco was hit on Friday night by an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 which has particularly affected the provinces and prefectures of Al Hauz, Marrakech, Ouarzazat, Azilal, Chichaoua and Tarudant, as well as Agadir, Casablanca and Yusufia.
The quake, the strongest to hit the country in the last century, has left more than 630 people dead and more than 330 injured, according to Moroccan government figures so far.
The quake struck at 23:11 local time, with its epicentre in Ighil, some 60 kilometres southwest of the tourist city of Marrakech, where the Medina (Old City) has suffered the worst damage.
