15-11-23

From November 16 to 19, the Peruvian capital will host the Peru Travel Mart, where more than 120 Peruvian and 149 international companies will meet to generate business in the tourism sector.

The National Chamber of Tourism of Peru (CANATUR) and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERU) have presented a new edition of Peru Travel Mart 2023, the most important annual event of the country's tourism industry.

Peru Travel Mart has been held since 1987, providing a unique opportunity to generate business through the meeting of hundreds of travel industry professionals.

PROMPERÚ's objective is to position Peru in the world through the promotion of its image, its tourist destinations and its value-added export products. As the entity responsible for the promotion of exports and tourism in Peru, PROMPERÚ actively supports Peru Travel Mart to contribute to the development of the tourism sector and promote the country's image among key stakeholders.

This professional meeting will take place at the Lima Convention Center from November 16 to 19, and will be attended by 120 local companies and more than 149 international companies from over 27 countries, including the confirmed presence of five Spanish tourism companies: Trip.com, Nuba, Icárion, Catai and Bontur Travel & Experiences. It is estimated that the event will generate a business projection of around 15.5 billion euros.

The event will bring together the main players in the country's tourism sector, including operators, hotels, airlines, cruise agencies, ground transportation, trains and restaurants.

These professionals will meet with tour operators, wholesalers and specialized agencies from various international markets, with the aim of facilitating, through meetings that will take place at the event itself, the marketing and promotion of the various products and services offered in Peru.

Peru Travel Mart will also include training seminars and promotion of the country's tourism products in various categories, from cultural and gastronomic tourism to ecotourism and incentive travel.

In addition, representative brands from the country's different regions will be presented during the event, ranging from handicrafts and textiles to artisanal beverages and export products.

In the previous edition, Peru Travel Mart brought together 107 buyers interested in promoting Peru and managed to hold a total of 2,508 meetings, which generated a great business potential for the coming years. Expectations are even higher for this year's edition, which is expected to become the ideal platform for promoting and marketing Destination Peru.
