The congresses generated almost 500 million dollars in Argentina

Argentina has presented the Yearbook 2022 of the Economic Observatory of Meeting Tourism, which was managed by the National Institute for Tourism Promotion, 

The Argentinean Association of Organisers and Suppliers of Exhibitions, Congresses, Events and Convention Bureaux, AOCA, and the University of Buenos Aires, UBA, together with all the destinations and bureaus in the country, also collaborated.  

During the presentation it was announced that the segment of congresses, conventions and corporate events generated an economic impact of almost 140 billion pesos in Argentina, with a recovery of 60% and the maintenance of Buenos Aires at the top of the ranking of cities in America with the highest number of international events validated by the International Congress and Convention Association, ICCA.  

The presentation, held in the auditorium of the UBA, was in charge of the economic consultant Camilo Makon and we were accompanied by the President of AOCA, Patricia Durán, and the Secretary General of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Pablo Rota, as well as the Director of Products of INPROTUR, Pablo Sismanian, provincial authorities and Convention Bureaus of different provinces.  

There, the work of INPROTUR together with the private sector was highlighted, aimed at the international positioning of Argentina to attract international events and the commitment to continue professionalizing the segment together with the provinces, among other points.
