First Celebration of the World Camping Day. 23 May

The UNWTO joined the Affiliate Member, Fédération Internationale de Camping, Caravaning et Autocaravaning A.I.S.B.L. (F.I.C.C.), at the celebration of the World Camping Festival in Zadar (Croatia), to promote camping as a way of sustainable and responsible tourism.

For this important occasion, during which also took place at the F.I.C.C. 90th Anniversary as well as the first celebration of World Camping Day 2023, the Director of the Affiliate Members, Mr. Vilcu, had the opportunity to deliver a speech and convey a message of institutional support on behalf of the Organization.

As you know, camping and caravanning have evolved and have become a growing segment of tourism in recent years, attracting more and more visitors interested in disconnecting from technology, and reconnecting with nature through outdoor and sustainable experiences.

Within this context, we take this opportunity to congratulate F.IC.C. for its commitment to outdoor activities and for its permanent and successful efforts to promote camping and caravanning as an extremely suitable way to travel.
