06-02-23

Since its creation 42 years ago, ANATO's Tourism Showcase has sought to bring together in one place the sector's chain so that, through commercial alliances, a complete and attractive offer is generated for Colombian travellers and contributes to the consolidation of the industry.

With the presence of all the departments of Colombia, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and Fontur; international destinations, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, cruise companies, among others, will be present at the 2023 edition that will take place from 22 to 24 February at Corferias Bogotá.

"The last few years have not been easy for the sector, but even so, those of us who are part of it have understood that tourism does not stop, that travellers want to continue discovering adventures in new destinations, and that is precisely what we aim for in each version of the event, to create experiences for them with the contacts and agreements that are made between the entrepreneurs who attend the event," explained Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of ANATO.

She added: "The Vitrina Turística has gained increasing positioning at national and international level, generating greater interest among those who visit it. In fact, the figures from our latest survey of trade visitors carried out by the Association prove it".

In terms of meeting the objectives of their attendance at the event, 96% of those surveyed said they achieved them to the full; 90% said they found the companies they were looking for; 98% said they would recommend the Showcase; and 99% said they would attend again.

Likewise, 26% said they attended the event for the first time; 38% have attended between 2 to 5 versions; while 36% have attended more than 5 versions or have always attended.

"Making new business contacts, updating on products and market novelties and contacting Wholesale Travel Agencies are the main reasons why business people attend this annual event. We know that this will also be a successful version that will continue to contribute to the strengthening of this important engine of the Colombian economy," explained the trade union leader.
