Innovative food and wine experience presented in Burgos (Spain)

07-08-23

Next Saturday 30th September, four prestigious wineries and four Chefs will meet at the archaeological site located in Peñalba de Castro, to promote wine culture and the province of Burgos as a destination for food and wine tourism. A first in an idyllic location such as the Clunia Theatre, where you can enjoy a pleasant atmosphere and an unprecedented theatrical show. The capacity is limited to 320 seats due to the historical and archaeological characteristics of the site, which has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.

During the performance, there will be a wine tasting led by the wineries' oenologists. The tasting will feature 8 wines from the appellation, each paired with a different gourmet tapa, all of them proposed by the following four chefs who will be present at the event: Víctor Martín from Restaurante Trigo, Michelin Star; Miguel Cobo from Restaurante Cobo Estratos, Michelin Star; David Mota from Restaurante Cumpanis, Sol Repsol and David Pérez from Restaurante AF Pesquera, Solete Repsol.

In order to enjoy the wines without any worries and to generate the minimum possible impact on the environment, the entrance fee includes the bus transfer, arrival and return of the attendees, from Aranda de Duero.

In addition, the organising wineries inform that, with the entrance to the event, you will also be able to enjoy a wine tourism experience, to choose between one of the four wineries.

These tickets will be on sale online from 4 August on the Ribiértete agency's website, or directly at its offices in c/ Cascajar nº4 in Aranda de Duero. Tel: 693617707

This event, whose aim is to highlight the tangible and intangible heritage of Burgos, with wine as the common thread, and at the same time to vindicate wine as heritage, will be possible thanks to the collaboration of the Junta de Castilla y León, the Diputación de Burgos, the Consejo Regulador Ribera del Duero, the Ruta del Vino Ribera del Duero and the archaeological site of Clunia.

It is recommended to visit the website of the Roman Theatre of Clunia to find out the location and the social networks of the participating wineries to keep up to date with the latest news.

The organisers are also offering companies from the region the chance to participate in the event through "quid pro quo" sponsorship, in exchange for 10 tickets to attend the event and the presence of the brand in the communication of the event.
