Message from the UNWTO Secretary-General on the occasion of World Tourism Day 2022

We invite Member States, Affiliate Members, as well as non-members and stakeholders from across the private sector, to join us in celebrating World Tourism Day from Bali, Indonesia or to organise their own celebrations, united in continuing to work together for a more sustainable tourism sector.

This year's World Tourism Day celebration focuses on rethinking tourism. Under the theme "Rethink Tourism", the celebration offers an opportunity to reflect on how tourism has adapted to the post-COVID-19 crisis period, putting people and planet first and bringing everyone together around a shared vision of a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient sector.
