With this partnership, the airlines have added 42 new countries to their network.

Qatar Airways and British Airways have completed the latest phase of the expansion of their partnership. The airlines have added 42 new countries to their shared network of destinations, including Italy, Maldives, Norway, Singapore and Sweden, offering passengers improved access between destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania.

Customers will benefit from a wider choice of fares and schedules, with direct flight options and connections via hubs in London and Doha. This is all part of Qatar Airways and British Airways' plan to "Move Forward Together", enhancing the joint destination network and offering passengers the best of both airlines.

Travellers will have more freedom to participate in both airlines' frequent flyer programmes.

The expansion will allow single-ticket travel via Doha's World's Best Airport and London, bringing the total number of destinations operated by the two airlines to 185 in more than 60 countries. The complementary networks have access to dozens of countries that no other partnership or joint venture offers.

In addition, travellers will have more freedom to participate in both airlines' frequent flyer programmes, earning and spending Avios, their common frequent flyer currency. Customers will be able to seamlessly link their Qatar Airways Privilege Club and British Airways Executive Club accounts to transfer Avios between the two, and combine balances to earn rewards offered by each programme. The partnership also offers access to both airlines' lounges and classes to suit all budgets and needs, including British Airways' new Club Suite and Qatar Airways' award-winning Qsuite.
