Peru Moda arrives in Paris

02-11-22

On 22 October, more than 14 Peruvian textile companies held a business meeting in Paris. The best suppliers of the Peruvian textile-apparel chain came to show European companies the excellence of their full package production.

The Four Seasons Hotel George V hosted more than 14 Peruvian textile and clothing companies to meet with European companies and distributors. This initiative is part of the internationalisation strategy of Peru Moda, to promote business contacts of its companies in Europe.

The business meetings were an opportunity to contact a selection of Peruvian textile suppliers recognised for their excellence in the production of alpaca, pima cotton, men's, women's and children's garments.

Participating companies included Creditex (complete package), Hialpesa (yarns, fabrics and garments), Inalpaca (alpaca yarns and fabrics), Texgroup (knitwear), Nettalco (cotton knitwear), Cotton Project, Cotton Knit, Kero Desgin, Corceli, Rhin Textil, Compañía Universal Textil, Art Atlasc, El Modelador and Lives.

Interested companies contacted the Peruvian Commercial Office in Spain or through the event's website www.perumoda.com/ .

As a result of this important action, the digital platform La Maison Peruvienne is presenting a physical pop-up shop in Paris from 19 November to 18 December.

In total, 15 Peruvian designers, brands and artisans are betting on the end-of-year season in the city of light.

The pop up shop is set up with the support of the PromPerú office in France and designer Maco Calderón. Alpaca will be the guest of honour, with clothing, accessories and home accessories created from the fibre.

In addition to the commercial register, the month-long ephemeral event will feature classes and workshops with local artisans. A place that inspires exploration and imagination through colours and techniques.

The ephemeral shop will be set up at 39 rue Chapon, 75003 Paris.
