Lawyer by profession, with more than 30 years of professional experience, he currently works as Representative in Peru and Northern Regional Manager at CAF - Development Bank of Latin America.

He studied at the Universidad Javeriana Bogotá, and is a specialist in Negotiations and International Relations at the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia).

2010 - 2013 Banco de Comercio Exterior - BANCOLDEX (Colombia)

Position held: President.

In addition, he held various positions, such as deputy minister of foreign trade, advisor to the Colombian mission to the WTO, director of the Colombian Institute of Foreign Trade, legal consultant to the CAN, among others.

In the academic field, he was professor of International Economic Law at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

He is the author of important publications, such as: Las Reglas de Juego del TLC and Aspectos Jurídicos del Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Colombia y Estados Unidos.
