María Concepción García Gómez

Professor of the Department of Business Organisation in the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism at the Complutense University of Madrid. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration and a PhD in Business Management from the Complutense University of Madrid.

She is currently Vice-Rector of Employability and Entrepreneurship at the Complutense University of Madrid, an institution where she has held various academic positions. Among others, she has been Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism, Vice-Dean of Academic Organisation and Students of the same Faculty, Deputy Director of Institutional Relations, as well as Academic Secretary of the E.U. of Business Studies and Academic Secretary of the Department of Business Organisation.

During her first term as Dean, she led her Faculty to become an affiliated member of the World Tourism Organisation, as well as joining other national and international academic networks, such as RedIntur or the UNITWIN-UNESCO Network "Culture, Tourism and Development".

Her teaching and research work focuses on business strategy and entrepreneurship, with special attention to the tourism sector. She has extensive experience as a tutor of internships in companies, as well as in the teaching of continuing education courses, Complutense Summer School, entrepreneurship workshops and conferences in Spain, Latin America and Asia, especially in China, and management and participation in Innovation and Improvement of Teaching Quality Projects.

Author of several books, book chapters and articles in publishing houses and magazines of recognised prestige, lecturer and analyst of economic and business news on radio stations in Spain.
