Antonio Roldán-Ponce
Professor of International Economics and International Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Dresden (Germany) and Head of Studies in Tourism and Event Management.
A specialist in the development of tourism development and management policies, he has been a senior consultant for companies and destinations in Europe, America and Central Asia. He has held various senior management positions as CEO and COO, responsible for strategic planning and operational implementation, business development, commercial operations and product development for several international companies with a turnover of 4.5 billion euros. He has also worked as a consultant for multinational companies (Forbes500) and public organisations on internationalisation programmes and team management.
D. in Economics and International Relations (Doctor Europeus, Summa cum Laude), Diploma of Advanced Studies in Economics and International Relations from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). He also holds a BA in Contemporary History from the same university and a BA in Political Science and Sociology from the UNED. His research interests include international economics and development economics, technology clusters, systems analysis, social networks, intelligent systems and knowledge transfer.
He has been a full-time lecturer and researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Technische Universität Dresden and South Bank University London. He has also been visiting professor at universities in Europe, America and Asia.
