Paul Beswick is a distinguished regional leader and senior executive of Grupo Puntacana, the pioneering company behind the development of Punta Cana, one of the Caribbean’s most successful tourism destinations. With more than twenty-five years of professional experience, he has built a solid reputation as an expert in local development, sustainable tourism, security management, crisis response, and emergency preparedness, making significant contributions to the growth and long-term sustainability of the region.
He currently serves as President of the La Altagracia Tourism Cluster, Director of the Puntacana Foundation, and Secretary of the Punta Cana Municipal Council for Economic and Social Development. Through these leadership roles, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing destination competitiveness, promoting sustainable development, and generating meaningful social impact within local communities.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, he is a regular columnist for El Tiempo, where he shares insights and perspectives on sustainable tourism, regional development, and public policy.
