María Concepción García Gómez
Professor in the Department of Business Organization at the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism of the Complutense University of Madrid. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration and a PhD in Business Management from the same university. She currently serves as Vice-Rector for Employability and Entrepreneurship, following an extensive career in academic leadership and university management.
Throughout her career, she has held several key positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism, Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs and Students, Deputy Director for Institutional Relations, and Academic Secretary of both the University School of Business Studies and the Department of Business Organization. During her tenure as Dean, she promoted the Faculty’s affiliation with the World Tourism Organization and its integration into leading national and international academic networks.
Her teaching and research activities focus on business strategy and entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on the tourism sector. She has extensive experience in professional training, educational innovation, and the management of academic projects. She is the author of numerous books, book chapters, and scientific articles, and is also a frequent speaker and commentator on economic and business affairs in Spanish media.
