Marco Antonio Abastoflor Portugal is a Bolivian academic and professional specializing in sustainable tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy. He has a strong academic background that includes a Doctorate in Sustainable Tourism, a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Tourism from the University of Salamanca, a Master’s Degree in Distance Education, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality.
He has held important leadership positions in both academic and professional fields. He currently serves as President of the Board of the Food and Gastronomic Integration Movement (MIGA) and has been Director of the Tourism Administration Program at the Bolivian Catholic University “San Pablo.” He also collaborates as a lecturer with the UNESCO Chair in Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
