Hugo Marcos
Hugo Marcos is the Secretary-General of CIFFT (International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals), a leading global organization dedicated to recognizing excellence in tourism audiovisual marketing. He has more than twenty years of experience in audiovisual promotion, event organization, and strategic communication applied to the tourism sector.
He oversees the CIFFT Circuit and the World Tourism Film Awards, widely regarded as the most prestigious distinctions in the industry. He is also the driving force behind the GreenWorking Award, an initiative that recognizes best practices in sustainable audiovisual production aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in strategic partnerships, destination marketing, and audiovisual storytelling for tourism promotion. He also manages relations with the Spanish and Portuguese markets for the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards and the US International Awards.
Previously, he held senior leadership positions at ART&TUR for ten years, contributing significantly to its international growth and recognition. He is a member of the Tourism Society Think Tank and Skal International Club Madrid. He holds a degree in Tourism with a specialization in Event Organization and Management.
