Antonio Santos del Valle
A professional specialized in tourism, culture, and institutional relations, he has built an extensive international career spanning Europe, Latin America, and the Arab world. His early achievements include participation in the development, management, and promotion of Expo ’92 in Seville, as well as the organization of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992. He later expanded his work into academia, cultural management, and international cooperation.
Throughout his career, he has advised public institutions and government bodies on cultural affairs, heritage preservation, and tourism development. He served as an advisor to Spain’s Minister of Culture, Carmen Alborch, and participated in the Ibero-American Cooperation Platform, contributing to tourism strategies, cultural policies, and institutional relations projects across numerous countries.
He has directed major tourism and cultural initiatives in Spain and held leadership responsibilities in the tourism and institutional relations sector of Innova TaxFree Group. Between 2010 and 2022, he served on the Board of the Affiliate Members Programme and the Panel of Experts of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Since 2016, he has coordinated the World Shopping Tourism Network and led international projects focused on innovation, tourism, and economic development. Since May 2022, he has served as President of the Tourism and Society Think Tank, promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism worldwide..
