In 2023, Saudi Arabia marked a significant milestone in its tourism history by welcoming more than 100 million visitors, both local and international, consolidating its position as a leading global tourism destination. This achievement reflects the kingdom's commitment to position itself among the world's top tourist attractions, a vision endorsed by key figures such as Gloria Guevara Manzo, special advisor to the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, who expressed her confidence in the country's potential to climb into the top 5 of international tourist destinations.

During the Investment Forum held in Riyadh, the Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb, broke down the figures, revealing that of the impressive sum of visitors last year, 77 million were domestic tourists, while the remaining 27 million were foreign visitors. This balance exceeds expectations and anticipates the fulfillment of long-term goals, putting the kingdom seven years ahead of its initial target. Looking ahead, Saudi Arabia has set an ambitious goal of attracting 150 million tourists by 2030.

This progress would not be possible without the visionary leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the synergy between the various entities in the sector, aligned with the national "Vision 2030" strategy. This program aims not only to diversify the Saudi economy, but also to enrich the country's cultural and leisure offerings for visitors from around the world.
