The Association of Secretaries of Tourism of Mexico, ASETUR, IFEMA MADRID and the International Tourism Trade Fair FITUR, will soon announce the designation of Mexico as a Partner Country of the International Tourism Trade Fair FITUR 2025.

Present at the official announcement were the president of the Association of Mexican Secretaries of Tourism (ASETUR), Juan Enrique Suárez del Real Tostado; Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, and Mexico's ambassador to Spain, Quirino Ordaz Coppel.

Also participating in the event were the president of IFEMA Madrid's Executive Committee, José Vicente de los Mozos, and the director of Fitur, María Valcarce.

The collaboration agreement by which Mexico will hold the category of FITUR 2025 Partner Country during the 45th edition of the Madrid International Tourism Trade Fair will enable the country to strengthen its international positioning, boost the promotional potential of its wide-ranging tourism offerings and project itself to the world.

This alliance, which was announced in the framework of FITUR 2024, represents a milestone in the extraordinary career that Mexico has undertaken in recent years in the field of tourism, achieving a relevant positioning at the international level. This evolution of the Aztec nation has been felt especially after the pandemic, due to the significant effort made at the institutional and business level with the implementation of measures that have facilitated a rapid recovery of tourism activity compared to other countries.

Likewise, the growth experienced by Mexico now allows the country to take full advantage of its presence on major stages such as FITUR, to showcase the tourism, cultural, heritage and gastronomic wealth of its 32 states and 177 Magical Towns and showcase it to the world at the world's leading trade fair, and a major hub for the Ibero-American tourism industry.

In the words of José Vicente de los Mozos, "this alliance further strengthens the ties between Spain and Mexico, and establishes an intense collaboration to support the promotion of the tourist wealth of all the states that make up Mexico, under the FITUR brand, recognized today as the most important fair in the world for its high participation and international growth.

For his part, Miguel Torruco Marqués, Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, emphasized "the extraordinary value that Mexico's collaboration with FITUR will represent at a time when it is essential to align the interests of the entire country to project to the world the tourism potential of every corner of Mexico and boost the visibility of the Mexico Country Brand, together with one of the major international tourism benchmarks such as FITUR."

Likewise, Juan Enrique Suarez del Real Tostado, President of the Association of Secretaries of Tourism of Mexico, ASETUR, pointed out that "this agreement is the result of the joint work between all the country's Ministries of Tourism and the Secretary of State of the Government of Mexico, which represents an achievement that facilitates the union of all the interests of the actors involved to take a big step in the promotion of tourism in Mexico accompanied by the best ally, the International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR".
