Long queues of tourists who had travelled to Dubai from different countries saw the eagerly awaited iPhone 15 go on sale.

The Dubai Mall had an electrifying energy as thousands of enthusiasts of Apple's latest handset arrived early this morning to pick up their pre-ordered devices.

Apple fans, who waited in line for hours, were allowed to enter the shop in a staggered process to avoid crowds, according to the Khaleej Times newspaper.

Many had reserved their iPhones 15 in advance to be among the first to experience the latest technological marvel.

In a bid to get their hands on the coveted smartphone, tourists and residents queued for hours at the Dubai Mall, the largest Apple shop in the country and one of the largest in the world.

Mall officials organised the arrival of shoppers to ensure the safety of the crowds. Specialised staff were deployed to manage the queues.

Some of the tourists who travelled to Dubai to buy the new device made other purchases and enjoyed the city's offerings for several days.
