JetSMART Airlines awarded as the best low cost airline in South America

In the framework of the most relevant air fair in the world, the Paris Air Show, the ultra low cost airline JetSMART Airlines, was recognized as the best low cost airline in South America by Skytrax, the global organization that organizes the World Airline Awards 2023, which are considered the "Oscars of the airline industry".
Víctor Mejía, CCO of JetSMART Airlines received the award on behalf of the team and stated "we are very happy and grateful to receive this recognition, as it is a reflection of the hard work and effort that all JetSMART employees put in so that today we can be the best low cost airline in South America, which is a title chosen by passengers from all over the world, and has also given us the opportunity to be nominated in more categories, even at a global level".
Customers of more than 100 nationalities participated in the satisfaction survey conducted during September 2022 and May 2023, and this year's awards were based on responses from 20.23 million survey entries that were counted in the final results and more than 325 airlines are in the final results.

For his part, Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted noted that "JetSMART's frontline staff and executives should be very proud of this fantastic recognition of being named the Best Low Cost Airline in South America by customers. To enjoy this fabulous success for the second time in three years is an excellent achievement."
In the regional ranking, JetSMART ranks third among all South American airlines, both traditional and low cost. JetSMART is also ranked 17th worldwide in the low cost category, being the best ranked in South America in that category and ranked 8th in the evaluation ranking of airlines that improved the most compared to 2022.
